South Eastern Gazette
Our free (to UK subscribers) Victorian Newspaper Archive: The Kent Messenger's South Eastern Gazette is provided by the Your Heritage Lottery Fund.
Launched in 1846 as the Maidstone Gazette, the Gazette became the South Eastern in 1852 - a major regional title covering much of the South-East of England from East Hampshire through Surrey and Sussex to South Essex and parts of London, before being merged into the Kent Messenger after World War One.
