Kent Messenger
The county newspaper for Kent, founded in 1859, began life as the Maidstone Telegraph but became the Messenger, two years later, after its owners were jailed for libel and bought out by a local grocer whose family run it to this day and who have added several other titles to the group. The Messenger, itself, is published in several regional editions throughout the county
